WAI's annual scholarship program is a large umbrella portfolio of dozens of individually named scholarships covering flight training and aviation/aerospace education costs, open only to current WAI members. Award amounts, GPA minimums, and citizenship rules vary by individual named scholarship within the portfolio rather than being fixed program-wide.

Application requirements
- Obtain or maintain active WAI membership: Must be a WAI member by August 30, 2026, or hold membership expiring March 30, 2027 or later.
- Submit application through the WAI online scholarship portal: Applications open June 1, 2026 and close September 1, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET; only online portal submissions are accepted.
- Submit a 500-word essay: Essay must address what inspired the applicant's aviation/aerospace career interest, community involvement, and how the scholarship helps achieve goals.
- Submit a resume: Maximum two pages, no photos.
- Provide letters of recommendation: Two letters (max one page each) for general scholarships, or one letter for Harvard-track scholarships; cannot be from family members. Applicant is responsible for uploading them.
