Merit-based award for institution-nominated college juniors committed to careers in public service. Provides up to $30,000 for graduate study. Open to U.S. citizens and U.S. nationals from American Samoa; permanent residents are not eligible.

Application requirements
- Secure institutional nomination: Must be nominated by your institution's Truman Faculty Representative after the campus selection process.
- Complete online application and policy proposal: Nominated candidates receive access to an online application including a policy proposal.
- Three letters of recommendation: Secure three recommendation letters and give them to your campus Advisor for upload into the system.
- Transcripts from all institutions attended: Provide transcripts from any institution attended to your Advisor for upload. All materials due by 11:59 p.m. in your time zone on deadline evening.
- Advisor submits application to Foundation: Advisor reviews the application and sends it to the Foundation when ready. Candidate retains edit access until the deadline.
