Freshman scholarship for entering Texas A&M students with outstanding high school records, leadership, and activities; some awards also consider financial need. Apply via Common App or ApplyTexas for admission and complete the Self-Reported Academic Record (STAR) by December 1. Texas A&M does not stack Opportunity Awards.

Application requirements
- Submit a Texas A&M first-year application: Apply for admission through the Common App or ApplyTexas. The freshman scholarship application opens August 1 and closes December 1.
- Complete the Self-Reported Academic Record (STAR): Complete STAR by December 1; the admission application together with STAR is what places you in freshman scholarship consideration.
- Submit a financial aid application (FAFSA or TASFA) for need-based awards: Some Opportunity Awards consider financial need; submit a financial aid application to be considered for the need-based awards.
