Application requirements
- Complete National College Match application: Provide academics, activities, household/financial background, writing section, two core-subject teacher recommendations, transcript(s), counselor School Report, and test scores if taken.
- Gather financial documents: Have prior-year tax returns, W-2(s), or other financial documents ready to complete the application accurately.
- Rank up to 15 college partners: After submitting the application, rank up to 15 college partners via the Match Rankings Form for early admission and full four-year scholarship consideration.
- Submit signed Match Agreement Form: Due October 15 after the Match Rankings Form. Must be signed by applicant, parent/guardian, and school counselor and uploaded to your Manage page.
- Submit Match Requirements if named Finalist: Finalists must submit additional requirements to each ranked college. Official 2026 timeline lists Match Requirements deadline November 1.
