National Leadership Grants are merit-based scholarships awarded annually by the Sons of Italy Foundation to students of Italian descent enrolled in a four-year undergraduate, graduate, or professional program at an accredited U.S. institution.

Special eligibility to verify
- Italian ancestry required (parent or grandparent): Applicant must trace Italian ancestry to at least one parent or grandparent. Open to U.S. citizens or green card holders only. Prior SIF National Leadership Grant recipients are ineligible to reapply.
- $35 application fee includes one-year OSDIA At-Large membership: A non-refundable $35 fee is required to process the application; the fee includes a one-year At-Large membership in OSDIA.

- Submit unofficial transcripts: Transcripts through the most recent completed term are required.
- Submit 2 letters of recommendation: Letters must be from professional contacts, not family or friends.
