Application requirements
- Hold active NSBE membership: High-school students join as NSBE Jr. members, who have their own GPA verification form separate from the collegiate/graduate one.
- Verify your GPA inside the current verification window: You cannot apply without a currently valid verified GPA, and NSBE requires re-verification EVERY semester. Spring/Summer window: April 1 to July 31, 11:59 PM EDT. Fall/Winter window: September 1 to February 26, 11:59 PM EDT. A GPA verified in the Spring goes invalid on August 31; one verified in the Fall expires March 31.
- Apply during the scholarship cycle: NSBE runs Fall and Spring cycles. Individual awards set their own GPA and citizenship rules, so check the specific scholarship: there is no single program-wide rule. NSBE does not publish the application's contents outside the portal.
