Application requirements
- Create NIH Application Center profile: Complete profile and start the Undergraduate Scholarship Program application in the NIH Application Center.
- Pass the UGSP eligibility screener: Confirm you meet citizenship, enrollment, GPA, and exceptional-financial-need requirements before submitting.
- Submit personal statement and coursework list: Application requires coursework history and a personal statement describing research interests and goals.
- Arrange Exceptional Financial Need certification: Financial aid office must complete EFN certification by the published deadline.
- Submit three references: References must be received by the published reference deadline.
