Premier full-ride merit scholarship for incoming UT Austin freshmen, administered by the Texas Exes. Apply for UT Austin admission via the Common App or ApplyTexas by December 1 to be considered automatically; there is no separate Forty Acres application. Transfer and international students are not eligible for this program.

Application requirements
- Submit a UT Austin first-year application: Apply through the Common App or ApplyTexas. Priority deadline October 15; final deadline December 1. There is no separate Forty Acres application; applying for UT Austin admission enters you as a candidate, and only selected students are contacted to continue.
- Business applicants: also apply to the Canfield Business Honors Program: If you are applying to McCombs (business), the program advises also applying to the Canfield Business Honors Program.
- If selected, complete the Forty Acres interview and requested materials: Only students selected to move forward are contacted directly by the program to continue the selection process, which includes interviews.
