Supports incoming first-year law students who demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion and will attend an ABA-accredited law school. Requires a minimum 2.5 undergraduate GPA and a personal statement.

Application requirements
- Submit the LOSF application through the Kaleidoscope portal: The 2027 application period opens February 1, 2027 and the portal closes at 11:59 p.m. Central Time on April 15, 2027.
- Write a personal statement: Required material. The ABA asks applicants not to submit a resume.
- Submit an official or unofficial transcript
- Collect 2-4 letters of recommendation
- Sign the release form inside the LOSF application
