Application requirements
- Submit the online application via the AFS awards platform: Application is completed through https://afsawards.awardsplatform.com/ and includes multiple required sections; an incomplete application can disqualify the applicant.
- Write a statement of interest: A written statement describing the applicant's interest in the program and fisheries/aquatic science.
- Complete a short-answer question response and a 1-2 minute video response: Applicants submit a written short-answer response plus a 1-2 minute video response as part of the application.
- Submit a Hutton Student Reference Form from a non-family, non-peer adult: Completed by a teacher, coach, supervisor, or community member (not a family member or peer).
- Submit most recent high school transcript: Official preferred but unofficial accepted; can be uploaded by the student or emailed directly by a school administrator.
