A four-week UC residential STEM program for California students who will be in grades 9-12 in fall 2026. Students apply to a UC campus and cluster, live on campus, and study advanced STEM topics with faculty, researchers, and scientists.

Application requirements
- Submit the online COSMOS application: The application includes one personal statement and campus/cluster choices.
- Request teacher recommendation: One teacher recommendation is required and two are recommended.
- Upload unofficial transcript or report-card materials: Unofficial transcripts are uploaded before submission; 8th and 9th graders must also submit prior-grade report cards.
- Collect parent/guardian e-signature and pay application fee: COSMOS requires parent/guardian signature acknowledgment and a non-refundable application fee by the deadline.
- Submit financial-assistance materials if needed: Financial assistance is optional and reviewed separately from admission; complete documentation is required by the stated deadline.
