Running since 1923, the Scholastic Awards recognize creative teens in grades 7-12 (ages 13 and up) across 29 categories of art and writing, with work submitted digitally and judged regionally then nationally.

Application requirements
- Create a student (or educator) account in the Scholastic Awards online portal
- Choose the category that best represents your work
- Upload digital images/files of your work: Collaborative entries are not allowed in any category except Film & Animation, which permits up to 5 acknowledged collaborators.
- Pay the entry fee or request a fee waiver: $10 per individual entry, $30 per portfolio; fee waivers available in the portal.
- Work is judged through a regional affiliate program, then top entries advance to national judging: National Medalists are announced each June.
