PhysicsBowl is AAPT's annual multiple-choice physics exam (40 questions, 45 minutes) for high school students, offered in two divisions for first- and second-year physics students, administered by schools nationally and internationally.

Application requirements
- A teacher/school registers online (credit card) or by mailing a printable form with check/purchase order: Form can also be emailed to programs@aapt.org.
- Pay $10 per registered student
- Arrange a qualified proctor (not a parent/relative) with a verifiable official school email
- Administer the 40-question, 45-minute exam on one day within the official testing window: 2026 window was March 18 - April 3, 2026.
