District winners' apps are eligible to be featured in the U.S. Capitol Building and on House.gov; winners are invited to the #HouseOfCode celebration and receive waived copyright registration application fees through the ARTS Act.

A district-by-district coding competition for U.S. middle and high school students, who create and submit an original app (any language, any platform) to their Member of Congress.

Application requirements
- Create a student applicant profile in the registration portal
- Identify and confirm your U.S. Representative's participation in the Challenge
- Register as an individual or as a team of up to four students: All competing students must be U.S. residents at time of submission and enrolled in middle/high school.
- Build an original app in any programming language, for any platform
- Submit the app plus a 1-3 minute demonstration video, disclosing any AI tool use
- Submit the completed entry online by the deadline: 2026 deadline: October 26, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET.
